Carbon monoxide, ammonia & specialty gas detectionKnow what’s in the air before it’s a problem.

Most buildings only find out about a gas problem when someone feels sick or smells it. OMNI adds wireless carbon monoxide, ammonia and other specialty gas monitoring to the Sentinel platform, with alerts straight to your phone and a record of every reading.

How it works

Specialty sensing, built for your site.

Tell us what you need to watch

Gas sensing isn’t a one-size-fits-all add-on. We configure each Sentinel with the gases that matter for that space during a site survey.

Monitor continuously

Readings stream to OMNI Cloud alongside air quality, so you can see levels and trends room by room and building by building.

Alert the right people

Set thresholds by location. When a level crosses one, alerts go out by text, email and the dashboard, and to your other systems through webhooks.

Available gases

Specialty builds for real-world risks.

Add-on

Carbon monoxide (CO)

For ice rinks with fuel-powered resurfacers, parking garages, loading docks, boiler and mechanical rooms, and kitchens.

Add-on

Ammonia (NH₃)

For ammonia refrigeration in ice rinks, cold storage and food processing.

Add-on

Nitrogen dioxide, ozone & more

NO₂, O₃, H₂S, chlorine, SO₂, NOx and formaldehyde for industrial, pool and lab environments.

Add-on

Combustible dust

Surface dust monitoring for manufacturing and processing facilities.

OMNI gas monitoring adds visibility and alerts. It supplements, and does not replace, the listed carbon monoxide or gas detection systems your fire and building codes require.

FAQ

Gas detection questions

Is gas detection standard on the Sentinel?

No. Carbon monoxide, ammonia and other gases are available as specialty builds. We configure the right sensors for each space during a site survey.

Which gases can OMNI monitor?

Options include carbon monoxide (CO), ammonia (NH₃), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), ozone (O₃), hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), chlorine (Cl₂), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and formaldehyde, plus combustible dust monitoring.

Does it replace the CO alarms required by code?

No. OMNI gas monitoring adds real-time visibility, trends and remote alerts. It supplements, and does not replace, the listed CO or gas detection systems your fire and building codes require.

Why monitor carbon monoxide and ammonia in ice rinks?

Fuel-powered ice resurfacers can raise carbon monoxide levels, and many rinks use ammonia refrigeration. Continuous monitoring with remote alerts helps operators see a problem early, even when no one is in the mechanical room.

How are gas alerts delivered?

You set thresholds by location. When a level crosses one, OMNI sends alerts by text, email and the cloud dashboard, and can pass them to other systems through webhooks.
